Ambassador Interview

What keeps you inspired to continue to train and be disciplined in your sport?

My favorite thing about sport is that it gives you a way to challenge yourself with tangible evidence of your progress. I love making a personal goal and findings all the ways I can improve.

What is a piece of advice you would pass along to generations who aspire to follow in your footsteps?

There are so many amazing things I have learned through sport that it is hard to choose just one but if I had to give a piece of advice I would keep it simple; have fun and be grateful. I find these lessons to be invaluable because they seem small and cliché, but if you truly embrace these lessons it can change everything about your experience in sport.

Please share a fond memory of your time at the Olympics or another race/competition you competed in.

One of my favorite race memories from the Youth Olympics was the opening ceremony. It felt incredible to be a small part of something so big.

What is one thing you always do before a race/competition?

One thing I always do before a race is smile. Sometimes when I am nervous I forget that racing is an opportunity and if I take a moment to look around and enjoy where I am at, it can go a long way and often make me race faster too.

What is something people don’t know about you and would surprise them?

I have trained myself to cut hair through YouTube.

What is one thing the SNOW Museum can do right now to support you?

Help promote my name and image so I can keep following my dreams.

Why are you excited about supporting the SNOW Museum?

I am excited to help promote and memorialize the sport that has made me who I am.
